Disclosures

About These Disclosures

SIA Insurance Agency helps individuals and businesses obtain insurance and related services. These disclosures explain our role, compensation, and service practices so you can make informed decisions.

Information on this website is general in nature. Coverage descriptions, estimates, and comparisons do not replace or change an insurance policy, application, proposal, or service agreement. The applicable documents govern coverage, conditions, exclusions, limits, premiums, and other obligations.

Our Agency and Licensing

SIA is the customer-facing insurance agency brand associated with Syndicated Resource Group Holdings, Inc., a corporation organized in Delaware. The legal entity responsible for your insurance transaction will be identified in the applicable proposal, policy, invoice, or agreement.

Agency licenses and individual producer licenses are separate. Products and services are offered only through the applicable licensed entity and appropriately licensed producers, subject to state requirements and carrier authorization.

Quotes, Applications, and Coverage Requests

Submitting an inquiry, application, payment, document, or request through this website does not by itself bind, renew, cancel, or change insurance coverage.

Coverage or changes must be confirmed by the insurer or an authorized representative. Please contact our office directly for time-sensitive requests and obtain confirmation that your request has been completed.

Quotes and estimates are subject to underwriting review, verification of information, carrier approval, and the terms of the final policy. An estimate is not a guarantee of coverage or final premium.

Our Role

We assist customers with insurance placement and related services. Our role varies by transaction and the agreements we maintain with insurers and other providers.

In some circumstances, we may act on behalf of an insurer under a binding authority or similar agreement. When doing so, we represent the insurer within the scope of that authority.

The insurer determines coverage and claim payments under the policy. We can assist with questions and communication, but we cannot change the insurer’s contractual obligations.

Commissions and Fees

We may receive commissions from insurers for policies placed through our agency. Commissions generally range from 0% to 25% of the premium and are included in the quoted insurance premium.

Where permitted by law, we may charge separately disclosed broker, administrative, or service fees. Any applicable fee will be explained in the proposal or agreement and identified separately from insurance premium on invoices and receipts.

Fee requirements vary by state and product. This website disclosure does not replace any required transaction-specific disclosure or signed agreement.

We may also receive additional compensation from insurers based on factors such as premium volume or the profitability of a portfolio of business.

Commission rates vary among insurers. We will not recommend an insurer solely because it pays a higher commission.

Consulting and Related Services

If you request services provided on a consulting basis, we will explain the scope and fees before performing billable work.

Hourly consulting fees generally range from $100 to $300, depending on the nature, complexity, and volume of the work. Applicable fees and compensation will be confirmed in writing.

Related services may be provided by affiliated companies or independent providers. The responsible provider, service terms, and charges will be identified in the applicable agreement.

Payments and Premium Financing

Premiums, taxes, statutory charges, and service fees must be paid by the deadlines stated in your invoice, proposal, policy, or financing agreement.

Late or missed payments may result in cancellation of coverage, subject to applicable policy terms and notice requirements.

Premium financing may be available through independent finance providers. We may receive compensation for arranging financing, preparing documents, or referring business. Interest, charges, payment schedules, and cancellation provisions are governed by the financing agreement.

Cancellations and Refunds

Return premiums are determined by the insurer under the policy’s cancellation provisions and applicable requirements. Cancellation may result in short-rate charges, minimum earned premiums, or other amounts owed.

Separately disclosed fees may be retained when described as fully earned in the applicable agreement and permitted by law.

We may need to receive return premium from the insurer before issuing a refund. We will work to process refunds promptly once the necessary funds and information are available.

Handling Premium Funds

When we collect insurance premiums with other service charges, we reconcile and allocate those amounts as soon as administratively practical.

Premium funds are held and remitted consistent with applicable requirements. Where authorized, we retain our commission and remit the balance to the insurer. We may earn and retain interest on funds held before remittance where permitted by law and the applicable agreements.

Pay-As-You-Go Workers’ Compensation

Where available, pay-as-you-go programs calculate periodic workers’ compensation payments using reported payroll information.

Processing and program fees will be described in the applicable proposal or service agreement and identified separately from insurance premium.

Payroll-based billing does not eliminate policy audit requirements. Final premiums remain subject to the policy’s rating provisions, payroll verification, classifications, experience modifications, minimum premiums, and other applicable adjustments.

Illustrated net or adjusted rates may differ from the filed rates shown on the policy. Any program expenses included in adjusted rates will be explained in the proposal or agreement.

A non-working deposit, when included in a program agreement, is a separately disclosed fully earned fee rather than insurance premium. It is not credited toward earned premium, audits, or renewals unless the agreement expressly provides otherwise and applicable law permits.

Conflicts of Interest

Relationships with insurers, affiliated companies, finance providers, and other service providers may create actual or potential conflicts of interest.

We seek to identify and disclose material relationships relevant to your transaction and provide information that supports informed decisions.

Certificates of Insurance

A certificate of insurance summarizes information about an existing policy. It does not itself create coverage, amend a policy, or confer rights beyond those provided by the policy and applicable endorsements.

Requests for additional insured status, waivers, or other coverage changes require review and confirmation under the applicable policy and carrier procedures.
